Founded by Rae Miles, babyH2O is shaped by over 19 years of baby swimming experience and a warm, family-focused teaching style.

Each class blends songs, games, repetition and carefully chosen swimming skills. Babies and children learn through play, while parents understand why each activity matters and how confidence is being built week by week.

The instructor, Rae, is fantastic — very passionate, patient, and engaging with the children. The pool is always clean and at the right temperature, which makes the lessons even more enjoyable. I have had a fantastic experience at the Cheam Pool of Baby H2O. Gemma was wonderful and warm with my little one, the changing rooms are neat and the atmosphere is so welcoming. My baby loves 'swim day' and has made so much progress. The babies learn to swim in a fun environment with singing and playing. Baby swimming FAQs

A few quick answers for families thinking about starting lessons in Sutton or Cheam.

What age can my baby start swimming lessons?

babyH2O welcomes little swimmers from 3 months old through to 3 years. Classes are grouped around age, confidence and stage so children can learn at a pace that feels calm and achievable.

Do parents get in the pool?

Yes, baby and toddler lessons are parent-and-child sessions. Parents or carers are supported throughout the lesson so the water becomes a positive shared experience, not something rushed or intimidating.

How big are the classes?

Classes are deliberately small. Cheam sessions usually have 4–5 children and Sutton sessions are kept to around 6-7 children, giving every child space, attention and reassurance.

What if my child is nervous in the water?

That is completely normal. babyH2O uses a gentle Building Blocks approach, focusing first on trust, security and enjoyment before introducing new skills. Children are encouraged, never forced.
